Past: Aria was born in Upper Michigan but her father dies in a car crash when he was rushing to the hospital the day she was born. Esme was her mother's best friend; Aria's mother asked Esme and Carlisle to be the godparents--they agreed. Aria has been raised by the Cullens her life and doesn't know any other way of life. Aria's mother insisted that she become a vampire when she turned 15 and the Cullens had no choice but to agree.
